An emerging musical force and multi-faceted artist, Georgetown, Ontario native Vivian Hicks has been performing since the age of two, honing her craft as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a maturity that is far beyond her fifteen years. From her years touring and recording with bestselling Canadian children’s group “The Mini Pop Kids” to her runner up performance as a contestant on Season One of CTV’s hit series The Launch, Hicks has made her mark, impressing viewers and gaining fans across the globe. Though not the official winner of episode one of The Launch, Hicks caught the attention of The Launch’s executive producer and Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta, landing a recording deal with the iconic label.
With an adoring fan base of over 1 million followers on the musical social media platform TikTok (formerly musical.ly), Hicks has generated a following for herself across all media platforms, with videos going viral on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Her inventive covers have received re-posts and praise from a multitude of well-known acts including Bruno Mars, Fifth Harmony, Meghan Trainor and The Chainsmokers and she is now working on her own original music, having written six songs to date. Working closely with the Bullies Reality Foundation, Hicks is also an advocate for mental health and anti-bullying, using her ever-growing platform to try and instill positive change in the world.
